Like the HS810, the HS850 makes use of a body design that employs a folding microphone boom. The folding microphone boom acts as the on and off switch, as well as just providing a convenient way to make the headset smaller and more pocketable when not in use. When a call comes into your phone, you can turn on and answer the phone at the same time just by unfolding the microphone boom. You can end the call and turn it off by removing the headset and re-folding it. Using the headset in this way conserves battery power, since no battery juice is wasted on standby time - time where the headset sits around waiting to be contacted by a mobile phone or other compatible device. The physical design of the HS850 and the battery savings it imparts is my favorite aspect of the Motorola HS850.

Of course you don't have to remove and turn off the headset between calls. If the headset is already on when an inbound call comes, you will hear the ringing come through on the headset and can answer it by pressing on the main multi-function call control button. You can end the call with this same button, and adjust volume levels with the two volume buttons. If you are using a phone that supports the Hands Free Bluetooth profile, then you can also use the call control button to reject an inbound call or redial the last number.

The Motorola HS850 Bluetooth Headset's audio properties are also like those of the HS810 before it. The audio quality in both directions is very clear and understandable, but sounds a bit thin. You and the party on the other end of the call will both be able to understand each other easily, it just doesn't sound as full and natural as it might with some other headsets. The HS850 makes up for this small lacking by having great resistance to wind noise, though. That makes the headset perfect for people that enjoy driving with their windows down, or those that work outside. Most headsets are very susceptible to wind noise, the HS850 bucks that trend.

8700c has been my first BlackBerry . I got it a month ago right in the thick of the lawsuit. Cingular 8125 came out soon after that which really made me to consider if I should go for the WIFI-enabled, full size keyboard and MS Office compatible Windows Mobile phone. In fact, I did exchanged for the Cingular 8125...for ONE DAY...before I ran back to the Cingular store and exchanged again for a BlackBerry 8700c. (I almost cried happy tears to have my beloved BlackBerry back from the angry sale rep who had to deal with me.)

Why the BlackBerry is the BEST communication solution I have ever used:
1. BlackBerry email is incredible. What can I say? I guess it's hard to appreciate its greatness without testing Seven Sea's Xpress mail, GoodLink or Windows Mobiles Patch. After I tried other options, oh man, no solution works better than the BlackBerry. It's indeed second to none! When you read about the "alternative services," believe me, they are not comparable to the reliability and the ease of use from the BES.
2. Reliability of the operating system. I think this is by far the most important factor. Windows Mobile freezes or becomes extremely sluggish about 2/3 of the time I use it. It pratcially is useless. BlackBerry however is always responsive, stable, and most importantly you can MAKE phone call and RECEIVE phone call ANYTIME no matter you are running a Google Map or what not. (This is not possible on Windows Mobile. Whenever I am doing some CPU-intensive task the phone will just freezes for about 30 seconds.)

1) Power Source: It's handy to be able to plug this into the wall instead of the PS3 via a USB cable. You don't have to have that wire hanging off the front of the unit all the time, which kept the glass door on the front of my entertainment center from closing.
2) Design: It can charge up to four controllers at once and has LED indicators to indicate if the controller is charging or fully-charged. It has a slim design that allows you to put it anywhere convenient.

The Bad:
1) It can be a bit tricky to plug the controller's USB socket into the one on the charge base. Out of the six or so times that I put my controllers on the charge base, there hasn't been a single time where I got the controller to easily slide on without having to gently manipulate both the charge base and controller. On the face of the remote are the D (or "plus") pad, a large "A" button which is used for major on-screen actions, and two small options buttons. Between the game buttons are a plus and minus buttons (which often act as "forwards" and "back"), as well as a "Home" button to engage the Wii home screen to change settings or check remote battery levels. On the back side of the controller is a trigger-like "B" button, perfect for timing releases of a bowling roll in Wii Sports.

Thankfully, battery life is excellent with the two included AA batteries, just as with the previous generation of Nintendo wireless controllers.

Immersive intelligence

Along the bottom of the Wii Remote, four blue LED lights indicate which player position the remote is currently set to. The controller automatically connects to the Wii console via Bluetooth wireless technology. The RAZR² V9 can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's 3G mobile broadband data network, which is available in most major metropolitan areas. The AT&T 3G network uses HSDPA/UMTS technology (High Speed Downlink Packet Access/Universal Mobile Telephone System), making it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless services with speeds up to 3.6 Mbps. It also gives AT&T the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services. In areas where the 3G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. Providing average data speeds between 75-135Kbps, it's fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services, including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.

With 3G connectivity, you'll be able to access AT&T's Cellular Video (CV) service and the Internet while on the go. Cellular Video features content from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central and exclusive premium content from HBO and much more. It also features AT&T Mobile Music, which provides access to the Napster subscription music as well as Music ID song-recognition software, music videos and The Buzz music news portal. The handset is MobiTV and XM Radio Mobile-capable, so you can enjoy streaming live TV and digital radio all in one device. Designed to be even sharper than before, the RAZR² V9 shaves two millimeters from the original MOTORAZR. Its one-piece housing has no parting lines (meaning fewer chances of break points) and the cast aluminum hinge underwent more than 100,000 lab tests to ensure durability. Even the exterior camera lens is stronger, as it is made with chemically hardened glass. Despite its slimmer profile, the RAZR² V9 offers enhanced dual screens that make the phone seem larger. The 2.2-inch internal screen offers twice the resolution of the original MOTORAZR while the 2-inch external screen is great for checking caller photo ID, easily reading incoming text messages, and controlling music playback through onscreen controls. Upgraded Interface: With the redesigned, more intelligent interface, you'll be able to search for contacts faster and avoid duplicate entries for the same person while allowing contacts to have multiple numbers. Haptics: Motorola has incorporated breakthrough haptics technology--an interface that creates tactile feedback--that provides vibrating feedback in response to your finger taps. When combined with the virtual music keys, the haptics technology helps you to effortlessly control music playback.

The 2-megapixel camera includes an 8x digital zoom and it can automatically snap up to eight new pictures--letting you choose the best image from a complete series of pictures. You can even print photos wirelessly to a Bluetooth-compatible printer with just a few menu selections. It provides four resolution choices (from 320 x 240 to 1600 x 1200 pixels) and also features a self-timer, free memory space indicator, color effects, night mode for low-light shots, and five shutter sounds (with a silent mode).
